I’m always deeply grateful for the people who engage me on their growth journeys. It’s not easy to ask for help, and whether you are looking for support in a professional or personal capacity, it requires a deep level of vulnerability to invite a stranger into your inner world.
Everyday, I am mindful of, and thankful for, the level of trust placed in me as a coach. So, in return, I thought I would share a little bit of what makes me tick!
Things I’m proud of
- Having the courage to finally leave a “good enough” relationship after 30 years; it was the best hard thing I’ve ever done.
- Moving across the country all by myself to a place where I didn’t know anyone.
- Conquering my fear of driving on the Detroit freeways – there’s nothing like jumping into the deep end!
- Taking accountability for my part in the things that didn’t go well in past relationships (romantic, friendship, work) and working hard to release old patterns and behaviors.
Fun facts
- When I was in middle school, classmates used to pay me to doodle on their binders
- I’m a process-oriented creative. I’ll spend hours crafting something, only to rip it out again. I get just as much satisfaction from the process of creating and understanding that process as I do from the actual outcome (sometimes more!).
- I’m an extraverted-introvert who will talk your ear off, then run home to be alone.
- One of my favorite ways to spend a Friday night is to crank up the music and try on everything in my closet, putting together new outfit combos with what I have.
I’m passionate about
- Embracing ageing as a time of expansion & expression.
- The power of play as a transformational tool; when you find your play, you find your way.
- The right of all people to live their lives safely & authentically – you do you baby!
- Following your curiosity and trusting your intuition.
- Exploring multiple paths in life without shame – I’ve dabbled in voice over work, creating meditation videos on youtube, working as a makeup artist, narration, direct sales, to name a few. Each venture has taught me something valuable and was never a waste of time.
Things that fill my cup
- Music! Especially live music in small, intimate venues
- Movement as meditation – walking, dancing, stretching. I firmly believe that a good booty shake can cure what ails you.
- Creating! Crochet, poetry, embroidery, poetry, food…
- Meeting people and falling into deep conversations as they share their stories
- Being a thought partner for people navigating significant change
